LASER SCANNING & 3D MODEL INTEGRATION

Tekfen Engineering, as an experienced and competent services provider, has used laser scanning technology for several revamp projects. Our highly efficient team uses the recorded data to create virtual plants, which is especially valuable for planning refurbishment and upgrades on existing plants.

Data is recorded completely, precisely and without physical contact. The data is subsequently converted and combined with all further information, for example, pipeline isometrics and equipment drawings, to form a complete 3-D model.

We also use laser scanning to create as-built documentation by comparing the 3-D planning model and the actual assembly situation captured by our scan. This reveals deviations from the design in the location, size or completeness of the assembled plant. For quality documentation, assembly deviations and any

rework required, if applicable, can be documented directly in the 3D model. Thus the 3D planning model can be updated into an as-built model with minimum time and effort.
