To meet the motor needs of the GÖKBEY General Purpose Helicopter, being developed by TEI - TUSAŞ Motor Sanayii A.Ş. for Turkish Presidency of Defence Industries, TEKFEN Mühendislik A.Ş. signed a cooperation agreement for the test infrastructures to be established within the scope of the Turboshaft Engine Development Project (TMGP).

In addition to TEI General Manager and Chairman of the Board Professor Dr Mahmut F. Akşit and TEKFEN Engineering General Manager Fatih Can, senior executives of the two companies participated at the signing ceremony held at TEI Eskişehir, Campus.

TEKFEN Engineering will provide the detailed design of test systems, technical management of procurement processes, supervision services for installation, testing and commissioning for test facilities to be established under the signed contract.

The compressor, combustion chamber and turbine module tests for aviation engines can be carried out with minimum cost and modification thanks to the test infrastructures to be established within the scope of the project. While it is aimed to obtain AeroThermal operating characteristics of the modules in module tests, the accuracy of the test results and the design and analysis tools will be checked and improvements will be made in the analysis models.
