PROJECT DETAILS

TÜPRAŞ intends to implement a new Vacuum Offgas Treatment Project for her İzmit, İzmir and Kırıkkale Refineries, which involves detailed engineering and procurement services. Vacuum offgas (VOG) is currently fed to vacuum distillation unit (VDU) furnaces and burned in burners in different refineries. VOG contains high concentration of H2S, which increases the SOx emissions when being burnt in VDU furnaces, depending also on crude type characteristics, operating conditions etc. Moreover, VOG burning in the incinerator or flaring are neither economic nor reliable solutions. As a result, TUPRAS intends to clean VOG via installation of new vacuum off gas treatment unit. The main purpose of the new vacuum off gas treatment project is to reduce H2S concentration in off gas stream to 40 ppmw and to burn clean off gas in VDU furnaces.

SCOPE OF SERVICES
